Minor route changes for the 2026 race

Jyväskylä Ski Marathon will be skied on 7 March 2026 from Vaajakoski to Peurunka with minor route changes.

• The 50 km is shortened by about five kilometres to 45 km.
• The 35 km is skied as planned.
• The 14 km starts in Vihtavuori, Laukaa, and follows the Metsoreitti trail to Peurunka. There is free transport from Peurunka to the start.

About 15 cm of snow fell in Jyväskylä and Laukaa overnight from Thursday to Friday, which has clearly improved the trails. The forecast is still difficult. The aim is to hold the race in both techniques, and the final decision will be made on Wednesday 4 March 2026.

• 9:30 45 km classic
• 10:30 35 km classic
• 11:00 45 km free
• 11:45 35 km free

Short distance skiers will get the bus and start times by email during race week at the latest.
