Vaajakoski → Peurunka

A point-to-point ski marathon in Central Finland. The course runs north from Jyväskylä through the forest and finishes next to the Peurunka spa hotel.

Start in Vaajakoski, finish at Peurunka

The race goes one way. The two long distances start at the Vaajakoski sports field on the east side of Jyväskylä and follow the Metsoreitti trail north to Peurunka in Laukaa. The short distance starts in Vihtavuori, closer to the finish.

Your bag is taken from the start to the finish, and in the morning buses run from Peurunka to the starts. At the finish there is a soup lunch, a shower and a sauna.

The race used to be called Neljän Vuoren Hiihto. It is run by Ski Jyväskylä, a local ski club, with volunteers.

The long one. The first 10 km loop through the hills around Vaajakoski.

The short one, from Vihtavuori to Peurunka. A good first ski event.
