Jyväskylä Ski Marathon

will be skied on Saturday 7 March, 2026 on a wonderful ski route from Jyväskylä to Laukaa. The Jyväskylä Ski Marathon is part of the Euroloppet series. There are three trips available for skiers. The 45 km route is skied from Vaajakoski to Peurunka.

The 35km route, easier in terms of terrain, is also skied from Vaajakoski to Peurunka. The finish line of both distances is located at spa hotel Peurunka.

Start and finish line

  • The 45 km and 35 km distances start from the Vaajakoski sports field (Urheilutie 39, 40800 Jyväskylä).
  • The start of the 10 km (14km) distance in Vihtavuori (Ruutitehtaantie 32, 41330 Laukaa)
  • Finish line of all series is at spa hotel Peurunka.

Spa Hotel Peurunka services

  • After skiing, you can enjoy dining and spa services at spa hotel Peurunka! For participants, a shower, sauna and cooked lunch are included in the price.
  • You can buy a spa ticket at the cashier in Peurunka.
  • For competitors, the participation fee includes meals in Peurunka. The soup lunch includes: soup, bread and spread and water.

  • In addition numbers can be picked up on race day from Vaajakoski for 45km and 35km, as well as for the 10km distance from Peurunka.
  • The competition office is open: Friday 4:00 PM–8:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM–13:00 PM.

Jyväskylä Ski Marathon is suitable for all skiing lovers, from competitive skiers to fitness skiers.

  • 45km: women/men general, F/M40, F/M50, F/M60 ja F/M70, classic and free style.
  • 35 km: Fitness series (Fand M), classic or freestyle.
  • Youth series (F16, F18, M16, M18), freestyle.
  • 10 km: Fitness series (F and M), classic and freestyle

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS OPEN UNTIL 4.3.2025 at 23:59. You can still register on Fri 6.3. in race office at Vaajakoski! Payment by bank card or cash.

Service points

There are 4 service points on the 45 km route and 4 on the 35 km route. Squeezy sports drink, water, juice, pickles and raisins are available at the service stations.

Equipment transport and bus transport

Car parking

In the 45km and 35km starting area, Vaajakoski has parking spaces only for skiers of the 45km classic style start. Other participants are advised to drive their cars to the spa hotel in Peurunka, from where we will arrange transportation to Vaajakoski. Transport price €12/person. Transportation is free for those staying in Peurunka. Parking in both Vaajakoski and Peurunka are free.

Waxing service

Swix offers ski waxing service at Jyväskylä Ski Marathon both before the start and during the race!

Bring your skis for waxing on Friday, March 6, between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. The waxing service is located at Vaajakoski sports field, right next to the race office.

Pre-booking must be made via this link by March 5, 2026 at 4:00 PM.

During the race, Swix will also provide free service at the Kangaslampi, Ampujien Maja, and Vihtavuori service stations.



Equipment transportation

The participation fee includes equipment transportation from the starting point to the finish.
